Who might be able to join this trial:

• People with LDL cholesterol (sometimes called "bad" cholesterol) below 5.0 mmol/l
• People who meet no more than 2 of the following: triglycerides (blood fats) above 1.7 mmol/l; HDL cholesterol (sometimes called "good" cholesterol) above 1.0 mmol/l for males or 1.3 mmol/l for females; fasting blood glucose at or above 5.6 mmol/l; blood pressure at or above 130/85 mmHg (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

• People who are pregnant
• People taking medications, or who have health conditions, that would make it unsafe to have a small fat tissue sample (biopsy) taken
• People who have previously had, or are planning to have, weight-loss (bariatric) surgery
• People with medical conditions that would prevent them from completing the study's tests and examinations — for example, active heart or cardiovascular symptoms
• People who have an active cancer diagnosis, or who have been in remission for less than 2 years
