Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE, a type of autoimmune disease) by a rheumatologist or qualified rheumatology specialist.
  • People who are 18 years of age or older and meet the legal age requirements for consenting to research in the country where the registry is located.
  • People who are willing and able to give their informed consent to participate.
  • People who are willing and able to provide personal identifying information (such as full legal name, sex at birth, date of birth, and home postcode), if required by the laws where the registry is based.
  • In addition to the above, people who also meet at least ONE of the following:
    • Newly diagnosed with SLE within the last 12 months before joining the registry, OR
    • Starting a biologic medication or an immune-suppressing medication to treat SLE at the time of joining the registry, OR
    • Diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis (a form of kidney disease related to lupus, classified as a moderate-to-severe type) within the past 2 years before joining the registry.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are currently taking part in a double-blind clinical trial (a study where neither the participant nor the doctors know which treatment is being given) for an SLE medication.
  • People who are taking part in any other non-blinded clinical trial (where participants know what treatment they are receiving) for any condition — except those in non-blinded trials involving CAR-T cell therapy or similar cell or gene therapies specifically for treating SLE.
