Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged 1 year to 70 years old.
• People who have a reasonable level of physical functioning, as measured by standard performance scales used by doctors (confirm with trial site).
• People who have been diagnosed with a telomere biology disorder, either through a specialised blood test showing very short telomeres, or through genetic testing showing a change in one of the specific genes linked to these disorders — both tests must be done by an approved laboratory.
• People who have at least one active health problem linked to a telomere biology disorder, such as low blood counts, a bone marrow that is not producing enough cells, lung problems, liver problems, gut bleeding, immune system problems, eye problems, or neurological problems — as determined by the lead doctor on the trial.
• People who are able to swallow liquids by mouth or receive liquids through a feeding tube.
• Female participants who are sexually active and could become pregnant must use two forms of contraception, at least one of which must be considered highly effective.
• Participants, or a parent or legal guardian for those who are minors, must be able to understand and agree to the trial's consent process.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have very severe bone marrow failure (aplastic anemia) that requires a bone marrow transplant at the time of joining, unless a transplant is not possible due to no suitable donor being available or other medical reasons.
• People who are expected to have a bone marrow transplant within 6 months of joining the trial.
• People who are currently taking medications aimed at boosting blood cell production, such as androgens or certain growth factors. People who have recently stopped these medications must wait 30 days before joining.
• People who have ongoing diarrhoea or regularly have more than 4 bowel movements per day on average.
• People who have gut conditions that may affect how the body absorbs the trial medication, such as inflammatory bowel disease or short bowel syndrome.
• People who have chronic kidney disease with significantly reduced kidney function (confirm with trial site for specific values).
• People who are taking other medications or are on other studies, or who have other uncontrolled health conditions that could affect the trial results, as determined by the lead doctor.
• People who have a high-risk blood or bone marrow condition such as high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome, leukaemia, or another active cancer.
• People who are currently pregnant.
• People who are currently breastfeeding.
