Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 45 years of age or older
- People who are willing and able to sign a consent form and follow the study procedures
- People who have had blood in their urine (either visible or detected by testing) in the 6 months before joining the study
- People who are already scheduled to have a camera examination of the bladder (called a cystoscopy) within 60 days of joining the study
- People who are able to provide at least 10 ml of urine (roughly two teaspoons)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a previous history of cancer in the bladder or upper urinary tract
- People who have had a camera examination of the bladder (cystoscopy) for blood in the urine within the past 2 years
- People who have previously taken part in this same study
- People who have been treated for prostate cancer within the last 12 months
- People who have been treated for kidney cancer within the last 12 months
- People who currently have an untreated urinary tract infection
- People who have urinary tract stones that are causing symptoms such as pain in the side or back
- People who are on dialysis due to kidney failure
- People who have a long-term urinary catheter in place
- People who are pregnant (based on self-reporting)
- People whose general health or frailty means they are not expected to be able to complete all the steps of the study (confirm with trial site)
