Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with small cell lung cancer (SCLC), confirmed by a tissue test, and have not yet received any systemic treatment for SCLC.
• People who were originally diagnosed with a specific type of lung cancer driven by an EGFR gene mutation (L858R or Del 19) and were treated with a targeted therapy called an EGFR TKI.
• People whose cancer changed (transformed) into SCLC after the EGFR TKI treatment stopped working.
• People aged 19 years or older.
• People who are in good general health, able to carry out normal daily activities with little to no limitation (based on a standard medical scale called ECOG 0–1).
• People who have at least one area of cancer that can be measured on a scan.
• People whose blood counts, kidney, liver, and clotting function meet specific minimum levels, as assessed by blood tests (confirm details with trial site).
• People who do not have a significant build-up of fluid around the lungs causing major symptoms at the time of screening.
• People whose heart is pumping at 50% or better, as measured by a heart scan.
• Women who are not able to become pregnant, or women who are able to become pregnant and agree to use contraception during treatment and for a set period after the last dose of each study drug.
• People who are willing and able to follow the study procedures.
• People who have read and signed a consent form agreeing to take part.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have already received chemotherapy after their cancer was confirmed to have transformed into SCLC.
• People who have previously been treated with immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy (a type of immunotherapy).
• People who have brain metastases (cancer spread to the brain) that are causing symptoms and have not yet been treated — though people with brain metastases that are not causing symptoms may be considered at the investigator's discretion.
• People with serious uncontrolled conditions such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, active bleeding, or an active infection.
• People with a history of certain lung conditions, including interstitial lung disease, drug-induced lung inflammation, radiation-related lung inflammation that required steroid treatment, or currently active non-infectious lung inflammation.
• People with an active or previously documented autoimmune or inflammatory condition.
• People who have had a heart attack or significant heart failure within the 6 months before starting the study.
• People who have had a solid organ transplant (such as a kidney or liver transplant).
• People who have had major surgery within 28 days before starting the study.
• People with a history of serious allergic reactions to antibody-based treatments, platinum-based chemotherapy, or etoposide.
• People who do not agree to follow the contraception requirements during the study.
