Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older (male or female) who have signed a consent form
- People whose general health and ability to carry out daily activities meets a standard rating of 0 or 1 on a common oncology scale (meaning fully active or restricted in strenuous activity only)
- People with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (a type of lung cancer that has spread) confirmed by laboratory testing of tissue or cell samples
- People who have not yet received any systemic (whole-body) treatment for their extensive-stage small cell lung cancer
- People who have at least one measurable tumour in the chest that a treating doctor determines is suitable for a specific radiotherapy dose (confirm with trial site)
- People whose blood counts and organ function (such as liver and kidneys) meet the required health thresholds (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People with active cancer spread to the membranes surrounding the brain or spinal cord, or with brain metastases that are not being treated or controlled
- People who have previously been treated with certain immune checkpoint drugs, including anti-PD-1, anti-PD-L1, or anti-CTLA-4 therapies
- People who received a live vaccine within 4 weeks before starting treatment
- People with currently active autoimmune diseases, or a history of autoimmune disease that could return
- People who required corticosteroids or other immune-suppressing medications within 14 days before starting treatment
- People with a history of interstitial lung disease, non-infectious lung inflammation (pneumonitis), or uncontrolled serious systemic illnesses
- People who have had a severe or active infection requiring antibiotic, antifungal, or antiviral treatment within 2 weeks before starting treatment — including tuberculosis
- People who received therapeutic antibiotic treatment (by mouth or intravenously) within 2 weeks before starting treatment
