Who might be able to join this trial:

- People who have a diagnosis of sickle cell disease (SCD) recorded in their medical records
- People whose sickle cell disease diagnosis has been confirmed by laboratory (blood) tests
- People who have had ongoing pain on most days over the past 6 months, either in one area of the body or multiple areas
- People whose medical records or physical examination show at least one physical sign related to their pain, such as tenderness when the painful area is touched, pain when the area is moved, reduced movement or weakness in the painful area, a skin ulcer in the painful area, organ-related changes (such as spleen or liver abnormalities) that match the painful area, or bone damage in the painful area (confirm with trial site)
- People for whom no other medical condition better explains their pain and symptoms
- People who are able to speak and understand English
- People who have an email address and a mobile device with a working data plan
- People who report that pain got in the way of their daily activities on at least one or two days in the past week
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a significant vision, hearing, or thinking/memory impairment
- People who took part in the MUSIQOLS single-site pilot study at University Hospitals in 2018
- People who are currently using mind-body therapies (such as meditation or relaxation techniques) under the guidance of a healthcare professional specifically to manage their pain
- People who have a major medical event planned in the next 14 weeks, such as giving birth, bone or joint surgery, gene therapy, or a stem cell transplant — note that blood transfusions or medication-based pain treatments do not count as exclusions (confirm with trial site)
