Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are in intensive care because of sudden, severe breathing problems
- People who need significant oxygen support, such as high-flow oxygen, a breathing mask, or a breathing machine (ventilator)
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have been diagnosed with a chronic interstitial lung disease (a long-term condition that causes scarring or inflammation in the lungs), either before being admitted to intensive care or during the intensive care stay based on expert assessment

- People who are in hospital for psychiatric (mental health) reasons, or who have a severe psychiatric illness that causes significant disability and involves legal protection measures
- People who are pregnant
- People who are already enrolled in this study
