  • Your cancer has returned only in the central area of the pelvis, and has not spread to surrounding structures
  • The size of your tumor, as measured by MRI scan, is no larger than 50 mm (about 2 inches) across
  • You are over 18 years old
  • You have signed a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial

  • Your cancer has spread to structures on the sides of the pelvis, seen on scans or during an examination carried out under anaesthetic
  • Your cancer involves the sciatic nerve (a large nerve running from the lower back down the leg), seen on scans or during an examination under anaesthetic
  • Your cancer has spread to other parts of the body beyond the pelvis, as shown on a PET/CT scan
  • Your cancer is a type other than the three specific types listed above
  • You have medical reasons that make surgery unsafe for you
  • You have other serious health conditions that would make surgery, including keyhole surgery, too risky (this is decided by the medical team)
  • You are unable to lie in certain positions required during surgery for an extended period of time (confirm with trial site)
  • You have had another type of cancer in the last 5 years
