Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have been diagnosed with psoriasis by a doctor, and your condition is considered moderate to severe, meaning it affects more than 10% of your body surface area, with a skin severity score (called PASI) between 5 and 10, and you may or may not also have psoriatic arthritis (joint inflammation related to psoriasis).
Who may not be able to join:
- You have another condition where your immune system attacks your own body, such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus.
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You are currently taking medications that suppress your immune system or other whole-body (systemic) treatments for your condition.
- You have a known inherited (genetic) disorder that affects how your immune system works.
- You have problems with your liver or kidneys.
- You have a known allergy to, or a medical reason not to take, the drug methotrexate.
- You have an active or poorly controlled infection, including long-term infections such as tuberculosis.
