Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are 18 years of age or older
• People who have had tuberculosis (TB) bacteria identified from a body fluid or tissue sample through a lab test (such as PCR or culture), or who have been clinically diagnosed with TB based on exposure history, physical examination, imaging results, and/or tissue analysis
• People who have TB affecting areas outside the lungs, including the lining around the lungs (pleura), lymph nodes, bones or joints, voice box (larynx), lining around the heart (pericardium), parotid gland, abdominal organs, kidneys, reproductive or urinary tract, or TB that has spread throughout the body (miliary TB)
• People who have both lung and non-lung TB, where the main focus of the disease — based on symptoms and imaging — is outside the lungs
• People who are able and willing to provide written consent to participate before joining the trial

Who may not be able to join:

• People under 18 years of age
• People whose social or personal circumstances may make it difficult to participate fully in the study, such as an inability to understand the study content or procedures, unwillingness to cooperate, or anticipated difficulty completing the study due to physical health (note: language barriers alone may not be a barrier, as a translator may be involved — confirm with trial site)
• People who have a close personal or professional relationship with the study team, such as family members or colleagues from the same department
• People who are pregnant
• People who are under legal guardianship or custodianship
• People whose TB is mainly affecting the lungs
• People whose only site of TB is the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord)
