Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children and young people between 6 years old and 16 years and 11 months old
- People who have had a confirmed COVID-19 infection and, at least 3 months later, are still experiencing — or have developed new — neurological symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, sleep problems, memory or thinking difficulties, mood changes, dizziness, muscle weakness, muscle pain, reduced sense of smell or taste, hearing loss, ringing in the ears, or other sensory problems, and these symptoms have lasted for at least 2 months with no other clear explanation
- The parent or guardian (and the patient themselves, where appropriate) must be willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People who do not have a good enough understanding of Italian, or who have communication difficulties that would make it hard to complete thinking and memory tests
- People who would need sedation (medication to make them sleepy or calm) in order to have a 7 Tesla brain MRI scan
- People who had a neurological or psychiatric condition that was diagnosed before their COVID-19 diagnosis
- People whose parent or guardian is unwilling or unable to sign the consent form
