Who might be able to join this trial:

• Adults aged 18 or older, of any gender
• People who have been diagnosed with advanced, spreading, or returning lung cancer (either non-small cell or small cell type), confirmed by a tissue or cell sample test
• People whose lung cancer has continued to grow or who could not tolerate at least two rounds of standard treatments (such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy); specific treatment history requirements apply depending on the type of lung cancer (confirm with trial site)
• People whose tumor sample, tested within the last 3 months, shows a protein called CEA on at least 10% of cancer cells in a specific pattern; if the tumor sample is older than 3 months, a blood test showing CEA levels above 10ug/L may also meet this requirement (confirm with trial site)
• People who have at least one measurable area of cancer that meets specific size requirements on scans
• People who are reasonably active and able to care for themselves, based on a standard medical scoring system (ECOG score of 0–2)
• People whose doctors estimate they are expected to live for more than 12 weeks
• People without serious mental health conditions
• People whose blood counts, heart, kidneys, liver, and blood oxygen levels meet certain minimum health standards (confirm with trial site for specific values)
• People who are able to have blood drawn or collected without major complications
• People who agree to use reliable contraception (not including natural family planning methods) for one year from signing the consent form through to receiving the cell treatment

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have cancer that has spread to the brain or the lining of the brain and is causing symptoms or is not well controlled
• People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial, or who have done so within the past month
• People who have received a live vaccine within the past 4 weeks
• People who have received chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or other experimental cancer treatments within 14 days before screening, or within a timeframe based on how long the drug stays in the body — whichever is shorter
• People who have an active or uncontrolled infection that requires treatment throughout the body
• People whose tumour is pressing on the windpipe or major blood vessels in a way that the doctors consider to be high risk
• People who have large amounts of uncontrolled fluid build-up in body cavities (such as around the lungs or abdomen)
• People who still have significant side effects from previous cancer treatments that have not recovered to near-normal levels (except for hair loss or mild nerve-related symptoms)
• People with certain serious heart conditions, including severe heart failure, a heart attack or heart bypass surgery within the past 6 months, a significant history of irregular heart rhythms or unexplained fainting, or a history of severe non-ischemic heart muscle disease
• People with active autoimmune diseases, or those who require long-term use of medications that suppress the immune system
• People who have had another cancer (other than certain early-stage skin or cervical cancers) within the past 3 years or currently
• People with certain active or detectable viral infections, including hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, or syphilis, based on blood test results
• People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• People whom the trial doctors consider unsuitable for any other reason
