Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with one of the following blood cancers: high-risk acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), a bone marrow disorder called myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) that is intermediate to very high risk, or high-risk lymphoma.
- Your leukemia or blood cancer is currently in remission (meaning the cancer is not detectable or is under control) at the required stage as determined by your doctor.
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You do not have a closely matched stem cell donor available (either a family member or unrelated donor).
- You have access to a suitable stem cell source — either a cord blood unit or a "half-matched" (haploidentical) donor — that meets specific cell count requirements (confirm with trial site).
- If you have had cancer affecting your brain or spinal fluid in the past, it must be in remission at the time you enroll.
- You are able to understand the study and are willing to sign a written consent form.
Who may not be able to join:
- Your kidneys, liver, lungs, or heart are not functioning well enough, based on specific blood tests and other measurements (confirm with trial site).
- You have a serious uncontrolled illness, such as an active infection, uncontrolled heart problems, or a mental health or personal situation that would make it difficult to follow the study requirements.
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, because the chemotherapy used in this trial could be harmful to a baby.
- You have any other condition that, in your doctor's opinion, would make it unsafe for you to participate or would affect the results of the study.
- You have a known allergy or bad reaction to any of the medications used in this trial.
- You have had a stem cell transplant using your own cells or a CAR-T cell therapy in the past 6 months, or you have ever had a stem cell transplant using someone else's cells.
