• People who have Type 1 diabetes, or who have used insulin in the past 6 months
• People whose high blood pressure is caused by another underlying medical condition
• People with a condition that would prevent an accurate blood pressure reading from being taken
• People whose kidneys are not filtering blood well enough (based on a specific kidney function test result below 40) (confirm with trial site)
• People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study
• People with a specific type of high blood pressure affecting the lungs (called primary pulmonary arterial hypertension)
• People with a known or suspected ongoing liver or bile duct disease
