Who might be able to join this trial:
- You previously took part in the FSHD-FOCUS 2 study and have a genetically confirmed diagnosis of FSHD (facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy), and you have been told about this genetic confirmation.
- You previously took part in the FSHD-iFocus study as a child/young person and have a genetically confirmed diagnosis of FSHD, and you have been told about this genetic confirmation.
- You are a newly enrolling participant who can provide genetic proof of an FSHD diagnosis.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are not able to make decisions for themselves (for example, due to a mental incapacity) are not able to take part.
- People who are currently taking part in a medication (drug) trial are not able to join.
- If you have certain metal implants or devices in your body (such as a pacemaker, cochlear implant, stents, prosthetic heart valves, or metal fragments in the eye, among others), you would not be able to have the MRI scan part of the study, but you may still be able to participate in other parts of the trial (confirm with trial site).
- If you have kidney problems, a known allergy to contrast dye, or claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces), you would not be able to have the MRI scan, but you may still be able to take part in other parts of the trial (confirm with trial site).
