Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 70 years old or older
- You have been diagnosed with advanced or spreading (metastatic) kidney cancer that has been confirmed
- You have not yet received any treatment for your cancer after it spread (metastatic stage)

- Your general health score is above 2 on the standard health scale, meaning daily activities are significantly limited (confirm with trial site)
- You have any health condition that means you cannot safely take the study drugs Cabozantinib or Nivolumab, including untreated brain metastases causing symptoms, or an active immune system condition requiring ongoing medication to suppress or control it (note: thyroid or adrenal gland disorders do not automatically exclude you — confirm with trial site)
- You have had a serious heart or blood clot-related event in the last three months
- Your doctors have recommended that your care focus only on comfort and symptom relief (palliative care only)
- You are under legal guardianship, have had your freedom restricted by a legal or official decision, or are unable to give your own consent to participate
