Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have a Body Mass Index (BMI) between 30 and 50, and you weigh no more than 159 kg (350 lbs) at the time of screening
  • You have tried to lose weight through lifestyle changes (such as diet or exercise) at least once before, without success
  • You have no significant health issues found at your screening appointment that could affect your safety or the study results
  • If you are able to become pregnant or father a child, you must agree to use highly effective birth control during the study and for at least 90 days after it ends, and agree not to donate eggs or sperm during that same period

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your weight has changed by more than 5% (either gained or lost) in the 3 months before screening
  • You have used certain diabetes or weight-loss injections (such as liraglutide or semaglutide) in the 6 months before screening
  • You have used any other prescription or over-the-counter weight-loss medication or supplement in the 3 months before screening (including naltrexone/bupropion, orlistat, or phentermine/topiramate)
  • In the doctor's opinion, your weight gain is mainly caused by a medication, a hormonal condition, or a genetic disorder — with the exception of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
  • You have previously had weight-loss surgery or a medical device procedure to treat obesity, including certain stomach procedures done by camera
  • You have used medications or treatments known to cause weight gain or changes in body composition in the 3 months before screening (confirm with trial site)
  • You have Type 1 diabetes
