Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a woman who has gone through menopause and are between 50 and 90 years old
- Your bone density scan shows a T-score of -3.0 or lower in at least one bone in your lower spine (meaning significantly low bone density)
- You are physically and mentally able to understand the study requirements and attend follow-up appointments
- You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- You have received any osteoporosis treatment in the past two years, including medications such as Romosozumab, Teriparatide, Denosumab, Alendronate, Ibandronate, Zoledronic Acid, Risedronate, Raloxifene, or Bazedoxifene
- You have a known allergy to Romosozumab or Denosumab
- Your bone loss is caused by another medical condition rather than menopause (confirm with trial site)
- You have an autoimmune disease (a condition where the immune system attacks the body)
- You regularly take steroid medications on a long-term basis, such as for a chronic lung condition
- You have abnormally high or low calcium levels in your blood
- You have another disease that affects how your bones are formed or maintained (confirm with trial site)
- You have a bone tumour, whether originating in the bone or spread from elsewhere in the body
- You currently have or have had cancer, unless it was a very early-stage skin cancer or you have been fully treated and cancer-free for at least five years
- You are planning to have any dental procedures such as tooth extractions or implants within the next year
- You have a history of heart stents, heart attack, stroke, or coronary artery disease
- You have kidney disease or are on dialysis, including if your creatinine blood level is above 1.5 mg/dL (a measure of kidney function)
- You currently smoke more than one pack of cigarettes per day, unless you have not smoked for more than ten years
