Who might be able to join this trial:
- Both males and females can participate
- You must be older than 3 years of age
- You must have been diagnosed with PKU (a condition affecting how the body processes a substance called phenylalanine) or tyrosinaemia (a condition affecting how the body processes another substance called tyrosine)
- You must have been regularly taking at least one protein substitute supplement (providing at least 15g of protein equivalents) for at least one month before the trial starts
- You must have a doctor-prescribed daily limit for phenylalanine, or phenylalanine and tyrosine, as part of your current treatment
- You (and/or your parent or caregiver, if applicable) must be willing and able to provide signed or electronic consent to take part
- You must be expected to be able to take at least one sachet of the trial product each day
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You need to receive nutrition directly into your bloodstream through a drip (confirm with trial site)
- You have serious liver or kidney problems
- You have taken part in another clinical study within the past month
- You have an allergy to any ingredient in the trial product
- The trial doctor has concerns about whether you or your parent/caregiver would be able to follow the trial requirements
