Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with one of the following conditions: lupus (SLE), Sjögren's disease, scleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis, seronegative spondyloarthropathies, or systemic vasculitis (confirm with trial site for exact diagnosis requirements)
- You are 18 years old or older
- You are a family member of someone with one of the above conditions, or an unrelated person from the same community of a similar age and gender who would like to participate as a comparison participant (control)
- Comparison participants (controls) must also be 18 years old or older and will be checked for autoimmune and allergic diseases as part of the study
- All participants must be willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have been diagnosed with a long-term (chronic) viral infection, specifically HIV, hepatitis C, or HTLV-1
