Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are female and between 18 and 45 years old
- An ultrasound scan has suggested you have a single-chamber ovarian cyst (endometrioma), or one with only a very thin internal wall (less than 3mm)
- The cyst is between 30mm and 100mm in size and has been present for at least 3 to 6 months since it was first found
- Your blood test results show certain markers (Ca125 and HE4) are within specific low ranges, suggesting the cyst is unlikely to be cancerous (confirm with trial site)
- You have read and signed a consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- You are younger than 18 or older than 45 years old
- You have a history of ovarian or uterine cancer
- Your cyst is smaller than 30mm or larger than 100mm
- Your doctor has recommended surgery for the cyst, for example due to severe endometriosis outside the ovary or another medical reason
- Your ultrasound suggests the cyst may be a different type, such as a dermoid cyst or a cyst that could be cancerous
- Your Ca125 blood marker result is above 300 UI/mL
- Your HE4 blood marker result is above 70 pM
- You are currently pregnant
- You do not wish to take part, or you are not able to give informed consent for any reason
