Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 13 years or older.
- People who have been diagnosed with differentiated or poorly differentiated thyroid cancer, confirmed by laboratory tissue testing.
- People who fall into one of two groups: those with intermediate or high-risk thyroid cancer (as classified by the American Thyroid Association) who are planning to receive radioactive iodine (I-131) treatment, OR those whose cancer has spread to other parts of the body (shown on imaging scans such as CT, MRI, ultrasound, or PET scan) and who are being considered for localised treatments such as surgery or radiation therapy.
- People who have already had their entire thyroid gland surgically removed.
- People who have a specialised imaging scan (I-123) planned within 45 days of joining the trial.
- People who are able to understand the written consent form and are willing to sign it.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who the trial investigator believes are unlikely to follow the study procedures, rules, and requirements.
- People who are known to be pregnant.
