Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have been diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), a serious lung condition, where oxygen levels in the blood are severely low (PaO₂/FiO₂ below 150 mmHg), and who require treatment where they are turned face-down (prone positioning) while on a breathing machine
- People who are expected to need a breathing machine for more than 48 hours

- People for whom lying face-down is not safe, for example due to head or neck injuries, an unstable spine, or dangerously high pressure in the brain

- People whose ARDS is immediately life-threatening
- People who are unable to undergo brain and nervous system assessments
- People for whom the monitoring equipment produces poor or no usable images (confirm with trial site)
