Who might be able to join this trial:

• People diagnosed with Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorders (NMOSD), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), or other inflammatory diseases affecting the brain and spinal cord that meet recognised diagnostic standards
• People who score below 55 on a cognitive processing speed test (called the SDMT), or who feel their thinking or memory has gotten worse
• People aged between 18 and 65 years old, any gender
• People who have not had a relapse or changed their medications in the past month
• People whose disability level scores at 6 or below on a standard neurological disability scale (called the EDSS)
• People who are right-handed, are native Chinese speakers, and have enough education to understand the test instructions
• People who are willing to take part and have signed a consent form

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have had a relapse in the past month
• People who have changed their medications in the past month, or have recently had electroconvulsive therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, or similar brain stimulation treatments
• People who are currently taking part in, or have taken part in, another clinical trial within the past month
• People who have a cochlear hearing implant, a heart pacemaker, or an implanted brain stimulation device
• People who have broken or damaged skin at the sites where electrodes would be placed, or who have an allergy to electrode gel or adhesive materials
• People with a history of epilepsy, fluid on the brain (hydrocephalus), brain or spinal cord tumours, brain injury, or infections of the brain or spinal cord
• People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant in the near future
• People who score 3 or higher on the suicide-related question of a standard depression assessment (HDRS-17), or who have a serious mental illness
• People who have another serious or unstable physical health condition
• People who are unlikely to be able to cooperate with treatment sessions, follow-up appointments, or the collection of medical, brain scan, or EEG data
• People whom the research team considers unsuitable for any other reason (confirm with trial site)
