Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children between the ages of 6 and 9
- Children who have been diagnosed with ADHD (any type) according to standard psychiatric guidelines (DSM-5)
- Children whose general intellectual ability scores above 80, as measured by standard testing
- Children who are generally healthy with no major medical conditions
- If the child is currently using melatonin as a sleep aid, families must be willing to stop using it during the study period
Who may not be able to join:
- Children who have been diagnosed with psychosis, bipolar disorder, or autism spectrum disorder
- Children who have been diagnosed with a sleep disorder such as sleep apnea or restless leg syndrome
- Children who are currently taking any prescription or other sleep medication, apart from melatonin
- Children whose families are planning to start them on stimulant medication during the time the study is running
