Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 9 and 25 years old at the time of joining
- You are able to read and understand either French or English
- If you are under 18, at least one parent or legal guardian is available to give permission for you to take part
- You have reached out at least once to a primary care service (such as a family doctor, paediatrician, CLSC, or Aire Ouverte) because of a mental health concern (this is the "help-seeking" group)
- OR, at least one of your birth parents or siblings has received psychiatric care for a mood or related mental health diagnosis (confirm with trial site)
- OR, you are connected with a community agency that provides social services to young people around food, housing, or social discrimination (for example, if you identify as racialized or LGBTQ2SIA+)
- OR, you have been diagnosed with a long-term physical health condition (such as diabetes or asthma) that is expected to need treatment for more than 12 months
Who may not be able to join:
- Young people who are unable to communicate verbally due to a known neurological condition or intellectual disability
- Young people who have already been diagnosed by a doctor with the specific mental health condition this study is looking at, and are currently receiving treatment for it (whether that is medication or therapy)
