Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer (a type of cancer in the back of the nose/throat) at a certain stage (Stage IB to IVA), and your cancer has tested positive for a virus called Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)
  • Your doctors are planning to treat you with chemotherapy before radiation, or with chemotherapy and radiation together
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are willing and able to follow all the steps and procedures required by the trial
  • You have signed a form agreeing to take part (informed consent)
  • If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you have had a negative pregnancy test before joining
  • You either have stored tumor tissue available from a previous biopsy, or you agree to have a new tumor biopsy done

  • You have already received chemotherapy or radiation treatment for this type of cancer
  • You have taken part in another clinical trial or received an experimental treatment within the last 28 days
  • You have another serious illness, condition, or abnormal test result that could affect the trial results or put you at higher risk of complications (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a condition affecting your mental health or thinking that would prevent you from fully understanding and agreeing to take part
  • You are unable to lie flat on your back for 25 minutes
  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
