Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 19 years or older
- People who have been diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure and are receiving dialysis more than three times per week
- People who rate their back pain at 4 or higher out of 10 on a standard pain scale
- People whose thinking and memory are clear enough to reliably report their pain level, as measured by a standard cognitive test (a score of 23 or higher on the Mini Mental State Examination)
- People who have been fully informed about the trial, understand what is involved, and have chosen to participate voluntarily by signing a written consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose back pain is caused by a physical injury or trauma
- People who have a serious mental health condition (such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder) or significant psychological instability that would make participation difficult
- People with a severe neurological condition (such as a stroke or severe dementia)
- People in poor general health due to unstable heart, digestive, breathing, or hormonal conditions, or a serious illness such as a widespread infection
- People who are currently taking part in another treatment-based clinical trial, or who have done so within the past 30 days (observational studies do not apply)
- People for whom magnetic stimulation treatment would be unsuitable, including those with an implanted medical device (such as a pacemaker), metal objects in the skull, a skin wound at the treatment site, a history of epilepsy, neck pain or musculoskeletal conditions in the neck, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding
