Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are between 18 and 65 years old
• You have been diagnosed by a doctor with a lung condition that causes mucus buildup, such as cystic fibrosis, severe asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or bronchiectasis (non-cystic fibrosis type), for more than 1 year
• You are able to complete a standard breathing test (called spirometry) in a consistent and reliable way
• You are willing and able to sign a consent form after being fully informed about the study

Who may not be able to join:

• You have had a respiratory (breathing-related) infection in the 4 weeks before your first study visit
• Your body mass index (BMI) — a measure of weight relative to height — is over 30 at your first visit
• You have had an injection (such as a joint injection) without the required 4-week break before your first visit
• You visited an emergency room for a lung-related problem in the 4 weeks before your first study visit
• You have another serious health condition, such as heart disease, cancer, uncontrolled diabetes, or another chronic lung disease (the study doctor will determine this)
• Your blood oxygen level at rest is below 90%, even with the maximum oxygen support delivered through a nose tube
• You have a positive pregnancy test at the time of the study
• You have taken part in another clinical study or used an experimental drug in the past 30 days, or plan to do so during this study
• The study doctor does not believe you will be able to complete all the required study activities
• The study doctor believes taking part in this study would put you at too much risk
• You have any condition that would prevent you from safely having an MRI scan (confirm with trial site)
