Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have a single brain metastasis (cancer that has spread to the brain) that is 3 cm or larger in size, or a single brain metastasis between 2 cm and 3 cm that is causing symptoms and can be removed with surgery — with or without up to 3 additional small brain lesions that could be treated with targeted radiation
- People who do not need urgent emergency brain surgery for severe neurological symptoms or dangerous pressure in the brain
- People aged 18 or older
- People whose general health and ability to carry out daily activities meets a certain minimum level, as measured by two standard medical scoring tools (ECOG scale score of 2 or below, and Karnofsky score of 60 or above) (confirm with trial site)
- People whose doctors estimate they have a life expectancy of more than 3 months
- People assessed as suitable for surgery based on a standard health scoring tool (ASA score of 3 or below), and who are able to have a brain MRI scan with and without contrast dye
- People who are willing and able to read and sign an informed consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- People for whom radiotherapy (radiation treatment) is not medically appropriate
- People who are pregnant
- People who are unable to follow study procedures or complete questionnaires
