Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You have been diagnosed with head and neck cancer (mouth, throat, voice box, or related areas — including HPV-positive and HPV-negative types) that has come back or spread, confirmed by a tissue biopsy
- Your cancer can be measured on a scan or detected by other means (such as a visible lump or bone involvement)
- You have already received standard first-line immunotherapy or chemotherapy-plus-immunotherapy, OR you were unable to receive it or chose not to
- You are reasonably active and able to care for yourself (confirm with trial site regarding fitness level requirements)
- Your blood counts, liver function, kidney function, and blood clotting results from within the last 15 days meet certain minimum levels (confirm exact values with trial site)

- You are able to swallow pills

- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You or your partner could become pregnant and you are unwilling to use reliable contraception during the study
- You have had a heart attack within the last 6 months
- You have moderate to severe heart failure, serious heart rhythm problems, or poorly controlled chest pain
- You have a heart rhythm measurement (QTc) above a certain level, or factors that increase your risk of dangerous heart rhythms (confirm with trial site)
- You have an active infection that requires treatment
- You are currently experiencing active bleeding in your stomach or intestines
- You have a mental health or personal situation that would make it hard to follow the study requirements
- Your immune system is severely weakened, or you are HIV-positive and currently taking anti-HIV medication (note: HIV-positive patients without signs of a weakened immune system may still be eligible — confirm with trial site)
- You have active hepatitis B or hepatitis C that is not controlled or treated (certain exceptions may apply — confirm with trial site)
- You are currently taking part in another clinical trial that is treating your cancer
