Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 45 years old
- You have been diagnosed with an endometrioma (a type of ovarian cyst linked to endometriosis) confirmed by an internal ultrasound or MRI scan, with a typical appearance, and the cyst measures between 3 and 10 centimetres at its widest point
- You experience pain related to endometriosis — such as painful periods or ongoing pelvic pain — that you would rate above 30 out of 100 when thinking about the past 4 weeks
Who may not be able to join:
- You are not able to speak French
- You do not wish to take part in the study
- Your ovarian reserve (the number of eggs remaining) is already considered low, based on specific blood or ultrasound measurements (confirm with trial site)
- You have endometriomas on both ovaries, or two or more cysts larger than 3 centimetres
- You have previously had surgery to remove an ovarian cyst
- You have previously had major abdominal surgery that caused scar tissue (adhesions) to form
- You have an allergy to ethanol (alcohol), as this is used in the treatment being studied
- You have a medical reason that prevents you from safely having a general anaesthetic
- You are currently pregnant, in labour, or breastfeeding
