Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with chronic migraine (with or without aura) for at least 12 months, and who can tell the difference between their migraines and other types of headaches
- People whose migraines first started before the age of 50
- People who have had at least 15 headache days per month and at least 8 migraine days per month during each of the 3 months before the screening period
- People who, during the last 28 days of the screening period, recorded at least 15 headache days and at least 8 migraine days in a headache diary
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have been diagnosed with other primary headache conditions — though tension-type headache is allowed
- People who have been diagnosed with certain specific migraine or headache conditions, including: aura without headache, migraine with brainstem aura, hemicrania continua, hypnic headache, hemiplegic migraine, retinal migraine, persistent aura without brain injury, migraine aura-triggered seizures, or a previous stroke caused by a migraine
- People who have been diagnosed with headache types caused by another underlying condition — though medication overuse headache is allowed
- People who are currently taking more than one prescribed medication to prevent migraines
- People who stopped taking a specific type of migraine prevention injection (known as an anti-CGRP monoclonal antibody) less than 5 months before the screening period
