Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are between 18 and 65 years old at the time of screening
- People who have had a diagnosis of migraine with aura for at least 12 months, based on recognised international headache disorder guidelines
- People who have had at least one day per month on average, over the three months before screening, where they experienced an aura episode meeting the study's criteria
- People who are willing and able to give informed consent before any study activities begin
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a history of any other type of headache disorder, apart from migraine without aura, migraine with aura, chronic migraine, or episodic tension-type headache
- People who have any other significant medical condition or disease that, in the opinion of the trial doctor, could affect their safety or interfere with the study
- People who have a history of suicidal behaviour or who are considered at risk of harming themselves or others
- Women who could become pregnant and who test positive for pregnancy at any point during the study
- People who have any form of heart or blood vessel disease, including conditions affecting the blood vessels in the brain
- People whose blood pressure is too high (at or above 150/100 mmHg) before the study infusion begins
- People whose blood pressure is too low (at or below 90/50 mmHg)
- People who have started, stopped, or changed the dose of any preventive migraine medication within the two months before joining the study
- People who have taken any pain relief or migraine medications (such as triptans or analgesics) within 48 hours before the study infusion
- People who have had a headache of any kind within 48 hours before the study infusion
- People who have experienced an aura within 48 hours before the study infusion
