Who might be able to join this trial:

• The child is between 7 and 17 years old at the time of joining the trial.
• The child has noticeable symptoms of anxiety and/or OCD, shown by a score of 12 or higher on a standard anxiety rating scale called the PARS.
• The child's main problem is anxiety or OCD, confirmed through a structured interview used by the study team.
• One parent or guardian is able and willing to take part in the assessments and treatment sessions throughout the study.
• The participating parent or guardian lives with the child at least half of the time.
• Both the parent/guardian and the child can read and understand English.
• The child has an IQ above 69, based on a test or a professional's judgement (a previous assessment report may be accepted).
• The child and family must be located in the state of Texas for treatment sessions and assessments.

Who may not be able to join:

• The child has ever been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder or conduct disorder.
• The child is currently experiencing serious thoughts of harming themselves or others, or has self-harmed in a way that required medical attention.
• The child has very limited ability to communicate verbally (for example, cannot speak independently).
• The child is currently receiving talk therapy that focuses mainly on anxiety or OCD (though pausing that therapy to join this study may be an option — confirm with trial site).
• The child started a new antidepressant medication within the last 12 weeks before assessment, or started certain other psychiatric medications within the last 4 weeks (confirm with trial site for specific medication types).
• The child's dose of any psychiatric medication was changed within the last 4 weeks before assessment, or within 2 weeks for certain medication types (confirm with trial site for specific medication types).
• The child needs a higher level of care than this study can provide, such as having serious, active thoughts of suicide.
