Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have been diagnosed with endometrial carcinoma (a type of uterine cancer, including a form called uterine carcinosarcoma), confirmed through laboratory testing of tissue
- People who are generally well enough to carry out light daily activities (a fitness level assessed by doctors on a standard scale)
- People who are scheduled to have staging surgery for endometrial cancer, which may include removal of the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries (with ovary-sparing being allowed in some cases), as well as possible lymph node procedures
- People who have given their written agreement to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are planned to have an additional surgical procedure on areas outside the reproductive organs at the same time as their cancer staging surgery
- People for whom a minimally invasive surgical approach (such as keyhole surgery) is not considered safe from an anaesthesia perspective
- People who have a second, separate cancer diagnosis at the same time
- People whose endometrial carcinoma has come back after previous treatment
- People living with dementia or a significantly reduced mental capacity that may affect their ability to understand and agree to participate
- People who have any reason that may prevent them from attending follow-up appointments, even within the first 30 days after surgery

Rate of satisfactory completion of staging surgery according to the criteria of national and international guidelines for the treatment of endometrial carcinoma.; Rate of intraoperative complications, after categorization based on the type of complication and the timing of its occurrence.; Rate of postoperative complications, after categorization based on the type of complication (within 30 days after surgery, after 30 days post-surgery) and according to the Clavien-Dindo classification.
