- People currently taking other specific KIT inhibitor medications (such as dasatinib, sorafenib, gilteritinib, or midostaurin)
- People who have bleeding inside the brain shown on a scan, or who have had a previous brain bleed that has not fully resolved
- People with an active infection that is not under control
- People with serious organ problems, such as a recent heart attack, significant heart failure, severe liver dysfunction, or kidney failure
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
