Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are older than 18 years of age
- People who have been diagnosed with advanced or spreading kidney cancer (called Renal Cell Carcinoma) that includes a specific type known as "clear-cell"
- People who have not yet received any systemic (whole-body) treatment for their kidney cancer
- People whose doctor has already decided, before the study begins, to treat them with the combination of cabozantinib and nivolumab as their first treatment for advanced kidney cancer, in line with locally approved guidelines
- Women who could become pregnant must not be pregnant at the start of or during treatment, and must use effective contraception throughout treatment and for at least 5 months after treatment ends; sexually active participants and their partners must also use a barrier method of contraception (such as a condom) during this time
- People who are enrolled in an appropriate social security system
- People who have read and signed an informed consent form before any trial activities begin
Who may not be able to join:
- People who the trial doctor believes are unable or unwilling to follow the study requirements
- People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial or investigational program that could interfere with this study's treatment
- People who have a known allergy or hypersensitive reaction to any ingredients in the study medications
- People who have a medical reason why they cannot take the study medications
- Women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- People who are unable to use digital tools (such as a smartphone or tablet)
- People who are not free to make their own legal decisions, or who are under the supervision of a legal guardian
