Who may be able to join

AI generated eligibility summary. Written by an AI model from the official source data and checked on a sample basis. It can contain mistakes, so confirm anything important against the original source. How we use AI

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People diagnosed with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (a form of bladder cancer that has not grown deep into the bladder wall) who have already had an initial surgical procedure to remove a bladder tumor and are scheduled for a second surgical procedure, for one of these reasons: the first procedure could not remove all of the tumor; no muscle tissue was found in what was removed; the removed tissue showed the cancer had reached a certain stage (T1); or the removed tissue showed the cancer was a high-grade tumor (confirm with trial site)
  • People who are able to provide a 100ml urine sample (roughly half a cup) between 1 and 6 weeks after the first procedure and before the second procedure
  • People aged 18 years or older
  • People willing to share basic health information, pathology results, and follow-up monitoring results
  • People willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have another type of cancer that is not bladder cancer, including prostate cancer or kidney cancer
  • People who have previously been diagnosed with bladder cancer that had grown into the muscle wall of the bladder
  • People who are not able to undergo a second surgical procedure
  • People whose tissue sample does not have complete pathology (laboratory analysis) information
  • People whose urine or tissue sample has been contaminated
  • People whose urine sample does not pass quality checks and where a new sample cannot be collected
  • People who have any other condition that the trial doctor believes could cause harm or prevent full participation in the study
  • People who are unable to provide written consent to participate
