Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 to 70 years, of any sex, who are willing and able to give signed written consent to participate

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have known contraindications, allergies, or hypersensitivity reactions to botulinum toxin type A, or who have an active infection at a potential injection site
  • People who have known contraindications, allergies, or hypersensitivity reactions to CGRP monoclonal antibodies, including those who have had a serious heart or blood vessel event (such as a heart attack, stroke, unstable chest pain, or a procedure to restore blood flow to the heart) within the past 12 months
  • People who also have medication overuse headache and have not yet gone through a withdrawal process from the overused medication
  • People who are unable to tell the difference between their migraines and other types of headaches they may experience
  • People who have taken part in another clinical trial involving a new or prescription medicine within the two months before joining this study
  • People who have had a continuous headache every day, with no pain-free days or periods at all, for more than one year
  • People who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding, or unable to use contraception
  • People with serious other health conditions or frailty that, in the treating doctor's judgement, may reduce life expectancy or make hospitalisation likely
  • People with dependence on alcohol or illicit drugs
  • People who, in the investigator's judgement, are unlikely to be able to complete all tasks required by the study — for example, due to severe psychiatric conditions
  • People who are unable to understand or consistently follow the study procedures for its full duration, as assessed by the investigator
