Who might be able to join this trial:
- Aides (support workers) who are currently working one-on-one with at least one child or young person in a school setting, where that child is between 3 and 17 years old, has a diagnosis linked to challenging behaviour (such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, or oppositional defiant disorder) noted on their treatment plan, and receives individual aide support.
- Supervisors who are employed by a community mental health or behaviour health agency and who directly supervise an aide who is also participating in the trial — the trial is looking to enrol supervisors and aides in pairs (one supervisor paired with one aide), with a total of 30 such pairs.
Who may not be able to join:
- Aides who took part in an earlier pilot version of the Footsteps trial, as the trial is looking to include people who have not previously used the Footsteps program or the comparison app.
