Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had an allergic reaction or sensitivity to the pain medications used in this study (Ketorolac or Fentanyl)
- People with a history of alcohol or drug dependence, or those who have used opioid pain relievers or other pain medications over a long period of time
- People who have liver disease or kidney failure
- People who have a stomach ulcer or a condition that makes gastrointestinal (gut) bleeding more likely
- People with suspected bleeding in the brain or head-related conditions involving increased pressure inside the skull
- People who have bronchial asthma or symptoms of airway tightening (bronchospasm)
- People with severely reduced breathing function
- People with nasal polyps (growths inside the nose) or angioedema (severe swelling under the skin)
- People who have, or have a history of, seizure or convulsion disorders
- People for whom certain muscle-relaxing medications used during surgery are not considered safe to use
