- People whose asthma is currently unstable — specifically, those whose breathing test results are below a certain level, or who have had a recent asthma flare-up or a change in their preventer medication within the past month (re-screening after one month may be possible if time allows — confirm with trial site)
- People with severe asthma who need to take steroid tablets every day, or who are on a biological (specialised injected or infused) medication for severe asthma
- People with certain other health conditions — such as heart disease or conditions affecting the immune system — where, in the opinion of the study doctors, taking part could affect their safety or the reliability of the study results (confirm with trial site)
