- People taking medication to manage blood pressure, cholesterol, or blood sugar levels
- People who have participated in another medical intervention trial within the past month
- People with serious health conditions such as epilepsy, asthma, kidney failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), inflammatory bowel disease, auto-inflammatory diseases, or rheumatoid arthritis
- People with active heart or cardiovascular disease, such as heart failure, or a recent heart attack or stroke
- People who are unable to have an MRI scan, for example due to a pacemaker, surgical metal implants, metal fragments in the eye, or severe claustrophobia
