Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 80 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the oesophagus (a specific type of oesophageal cancer), with or without cancer that has spread to lymph nodes in the neck

- People who experienced serious immune-related side effects (such as severe lung or heart inflammation, graded 3 or higher) during a previous cancer treatment
- People showing signs or symptoms of interstitial diseases — conditions that affect the tissue and space around the organs, particularly the lungs (confirm with trial site)
- People with severe or uncontrolled medical conditions
- People who currently have or have been diagnosed with another type of cancer at the same time
- People with other autoimmune diseases, or those who have been taking immunosuppressant medications or steroids for an extended period
- People who have difficulty communicating or who would not be able to attend long-term follow-up appointments
- People the trial investigators consider unsuitable for other reasons
