Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are able to read, understand, and sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
- A special scan (PET scan) using a specific tracer has shown uptake in at least one measurable area of your cancer
- Your melanoma has been confirmed by a lab test and cannot be surgically removed or has spread to other parts of the body, and it has continued to grow or worsen despite standard treatment
- You are well enough to carry out basic daily activities (confirm with trial site for exact fitness level required)
- Your liver, kidneys, and other organs are working adequately, as shown by blood tests taken within 14 days before starting treatment
- You have recovered from significant side effects of any previous cancer treatments
- If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and use reliable contraception during treatment and for at least 6 months after your last dose; if you are a man whose partner could become pregnant, you must use reliable contraception during treatment and for at least 3 months after your last dose
Who may not be able to join:
- You have previously been treated with radioactive substances used as therapy (not including radioactive tracers used for scans)
- You have recently taken part in another clinical trial with an experimental treatment shortly before starting this trial (with some exceptions — confirm with trial site)
- You are currently receiving any other cancer treatment
- You have had major surgery within 4 weeks before starting the trial treatment
- You have been diagnosed with another type of cancer within the past 2 years
- You currently have a serious active infection
- You have previously had a serious reaction to any ingredients in the trial treatment
- You have other serious health conditions, such as significant heart or severe infectious disease problems
- You have significant cancer spread to your brain or central nervous system
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or unwilling to use adequate contraception
- The trial doctors believe that any other aspect of your health or situation could put you at risk or prevent you from following the trial requirements
