Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 75 years old (any gender)
- You are reasonably active and able to care for yourself, even if you cannot do heavy physical work (confirm with trial site what this means for your situation)
- You have been diagnosed with a specific type of advanced lung cancer (stage IIIB/C or stage IV, non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer), confirmed by a tissue or cell sample
- You have not yet received any treatment aimed at treating the cancer throughout your whole body
Who may not be able to join:
- You have an autoimmune disease (a condition where your immune system attacks your own body) that is not currently under control
- You have had an autoimmune reaction in the past 6 months that has not improved or is unstable, such as untreated or unstable lung inflammation, thyroid problems, or heart muscle inflammation
- Your cancer has been found to have certain specific gene changes (such as EGFR, ALK, BRAF, ROS1, RET, or MET mutations or rearrangements)
- You have already received systemic cancer treatment, or you received pre- or post-surgery cancer treatment and your cancer came back within 3 months of finishing that treatment
- You are known to be allergic to the study drug or any of its ingredients
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or you are a woman who could become pregnant and your pregnancy test at the start of the trial is positive
- You are a woman who could become pregnant, or a man who plans to have children, and you are unwilling to use effective contraception throughout the trial and for 6 months after it ends
- You have other health conditions or circumstances that your doctor feels would make it unsafe or unsuitable for you to take part in this trial
