Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with stage IIIB or stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (a type of lung cancer), confirmed through laboratory testing of tissue or cell samples.
• People whose cancer does not have certain common genetic changes (such as EGFR mutations or ALK rearrangements), as determined by genetic or molecular testing.
• People aged 65 years or older, with overall physical health taken into account, including any other health conditions that may affect their physical status.

• People whose doctors estimate, based on their overall condition and how their cancer is progressing, that they are likely to live for more than 3 months.

• People who are willing to follow the study plan and sign a form showing they understand and agree to take part.

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have had, or currently have, another type of cancer within the past 5 years.
• People with serious problems affecting major organs, such as severe heart failure, or significant liver or kidney problems, as identified through routine medical tests.
• People who have cancer that has spread to the brain or spinal cord and has not yet been treated — only those who have already completed at least one round of treatment for this and whose scans show the condition is stable may be considered.
• People who have a psychiatric condition, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, that requires medication to manage.
• People who have a history of serious allergic reactions, such as anaphylactic shock or severe skin rashes, or who have had allergic reactions to multiple medications.
• People with active autoimmune diseases (where the immune system attacks the body) or active infections, including active hepatitis, active tuberculosis, or similar conditions that the trial doctors consider may affect the study.
• People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
