Who might be able to join this trial:

• The child must be between 10 and 17 years old at the time of referral
• There must be concerns about aggression and/or violence noted at referral or during assessment
• Taking part in the study must not interfere with any legal or court-ordered requirements the child has
• Both the child and their parent or carer (required if the child is aged 10–15) must be willing and able to give consent and take part in study activities
• The child must be living in the community at the time of referral, with no plans to move to a hospital, residential care, or secure setting soon
• For children already on a clinician's existing caseload: the child must not have had any direct contact with the specialist service (FCAMHS) before, including assessments, and must not have previously received indirect support through that service (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

• The child is under 10 or 18 years old or older at the time of referral
• There is no evidence of aggression or violence noted at referral or assessment
• The specialist service is only able to offer a single one-off consultation or assessment with no further support needed
• The child does not have a sufficient level of English to take part in the programme
• The child and/or their parent or carer is not willing to engage with the specialist service
• No official statutory service (such as social care or youth justice) is involved in supporting the child
• No statutory service is willing to keep the child's case open for at least six months
• The child is currently taking part in another research study involving a psychological treatment
